moving objects on screen - does not show their trace

when I pick an object and move it around the screen - the trace is unseen. also, even when I try to create an object (e.g circle) it will remain transperant until I pick a point - and then it shows me the finished circle, but the trace is unseen.  I have a new screen, can this be the problem ?

    try to change the setting "entity dragging" to "Whenever possible"

    or, on the command line type "dragmode" enter and then "auto" enter

    where's the "entity dragging" option located ?

    (my dragmode is set to auto/ON but it still does'nt work)

    It's in the "Settings" dialog box which is opened by clicking on the "Settings..." menu item in "Settings" on thr menu bar.

    Or type "settings" enter on the command line.

    All settings are presented here.

    ("dragmode"  is the same setting, but on the command line.)

     

    If setting "dragmode"  doesn't work, then you have a bug, Ithink.
