Can't see Xreffed layers in the layer manager

I'm new to this software and it seems fairly nice, but I can't seem to see the layers of xreffed objects (for manipulation / etc) in the layer manager.  I see them when I do the -Layer command, type "?" then "*" but I don't see them in the menu.

I'm clearly missing something fundamental about this software.  Is there a setting I have flipped wrongly?

  • It's not exactly fundamental:
explayers > view > toggle 'Show XRef Layers'

  • Doh.

    Thanks.

I know this is an old thread, but I am stuck on this issue as well.

I am on version 12.4.2.  But, I can't seem to find the place to show Xref layers.  The help file does not show anything, and I have done a search in the settings menu for all occurances of Xref, but again can't find this toggle.

Perhaps this is not in version 11?

  • Hi Joe,

Perhaps a picture will help clarify. See attached

Note the contents of the view menu changes depending on what you have selected under the Open Drawings tab.

You can jump straight to the Layer view in the drawing explorer by typing LA at the command line.

As far as I can recall this option was also available in V11

  • Thank you very much. I was hunting all over the place for some sort of icon, and there is was in plain English!
