Bricscad users wishlist, workarounds - From India
Hello All,
I have published on my blog today, a list of all the Bricscad feedback and wishlists we have received from users (existing clients as well as trial users) in India. It also lists several workarounds and solutions to these issues, where possible.
The aim of this post is to educate and inform, and also to help learn from each other. Bricscad is a wonderful software and the aim is not to show it nagatively, but to list frequently asked issues and discuss them, their fix status and their workarounds.
All workarounds and solutions we have provided using GeoTools to these known issues are all FREE tools within GeoTools. Does not require purchase of GeoTools.

Thank you for starting this.
I realize that no software company publishes a complete list of known bugs. My experence with Bricscad has been that they are more forthcoming about bugs and limitation than many companies. That is part of the reason I am a Bricscad user, and recommend it to other companies. Still, it is great for a 3rd party to be involved with the process. Even if you are a dealer, you have an increased level of independence. You are also very quick to respond to users, and have come up with some quick programming solutions to Bricscad limitations.

Absolutely Joe,
What I have published is not a "bug-list" in the true sense of the word, but a list of user feedback from end-user point of view, along with workarounds using our programming, as you rightly pointed out.
Transperancy, honesty and customer support pays in today's business world. The end-user is today very well-informed, demanding and does not have all the time in the world to evaluate new software. Often, they ask us point blank "What are the trouble areas with Bricscad?" We show them this blog post and this serves as a honest statement of the current situation and our seriousness and efforts to address the issues. Saves a lot of time for all of us. That is our approach to selling Bricscad. We want to be technically competent in uderstanding our customer requirements, be brutally honest about the limitations, provide workarounds to help ease the transition, and make them see value in Bricscad.
