Choppy fonts, raggedly edges, pointer slower response?

I am using trial brics linux (ubuntu 11.04) and have some questions about performance and text preview in a drawing:1. Is it normal that drawing pointer is always a slightly slower then windows version (witch is instant response), or it colud be an driver issue?2. Mouse pointer is always in front of drawing pointer while drawing3. All text (fonts) are very choppy edgesI am planning to use only linux version but not sure are those problems something that could be fixed?

  • I am also doing a trial version of BricsCad for Linux, using Debian testing.

I am also put off by the font quality (#3). The fonts look faceted onscreen and that quality also appears in the resulting PDFs. I put in a support request about this, and got back a response saying that it was a confirmed issue they are trying to fix. I would still like to know if this is something that is likely to be fixed soon, or that can't be fixed for a long time. All of my drawings use text, so I might have to wait until it is fixed.

On my machine, pointer response is very good (#1). Also, I can confirm that the mouse pointer is always in front of the drawing pointer (#2). That one, to me, is funny but not very grave.
