Can anyone recomend a PLT viewer ? is there a free one on the market ??

Otherwise search the net for HPGL Viewers.

A paid one is available from. http://www.cadsofttools.com/

Other option (also not free) is to import the PLT into another program:

• Microsoft Word it has an importer for HPGL.
• AutoCAD Express tools has PLT2DWG.
• Sycode offer a PLT importer for Bricscad. http://www.bricscad.com/common/applications/application.jsp?app=188&apploc=104

I know CADwizz and ABVIEWER works well, but they want money.  I find it amazing not to be able to find freewares that show .plt
