Plot-print files
Are there more ctb/shx files for printers? I am looking for a monochrome ctb for an office (letter) printer, HP photosmart c7280, specifically. The in-box monochrome ctb does black and one lineweight.
Thanks, Bruce

Most companies use their own ctb/stb files (shx is something different). I'm sure you can find these files on the internet but it is unlikely that any of them would meet your specific requirements. The same goes for the files that come with Bricscad. You just have to create your own plot style tables. As far as I know ctb files are not plotter/printer dependent.

@ Bruce
Please see the Bricscad Help under ' User Guide / Printing and Plotting / Plot Style Tables / The Plot Style Table Editor' to learn how to edit or create a new CTB.

Bruce it is very easy to create your own and then save as say 'c7280'.
Highlight the entire colour range and make them all = 'Black' in Style Properties.
then just set the individual lineweights.0 -
Thank you, all. I have been reading the guide and it does sound easy to do. It is just the assigning pens or line thickness that looks tedious.
Roy, I ran into shx files while looking at PDF995 PDF creator. Using that printer/plotter replaced the ctb files with the shx group. The Guide is a bit too glib for me to understand what an STB file is for, or why-when to create one...
