Running on Parallels Desktop with Mac OS X
I am very serious about making the switch from AD to Bricscad and wanted to make sure that the program is compatible with the Mac OS X and parallels desktop. Can anyone address the compatibilty of Bricscad running on this configuration. Thanks..

Hi Tige,
Thank you for trying Bricscad, I hope you like it.
It's possible to run Bricscad on Parallels Desktop, however we can't guarantee all Bricscad features will work. Keep in mind that a virtual machine has lower display and overall performance compared to a native set up.
You can try Parallels Desktop and Bricscad for 30 days, so give it first a try.

I'm running Bricscad on my Intel iMac and Parallels. It runs a LOT quicker on the new Intel Macs than it did on the old PowerPC's. Performance is noticeably slower than on my Core 2 Duo Win XP machine, but not that much. I don't do heavy-duty CAD work, so I can't say how it performs under those conditions.
Sorry that I don't have any "hard" performance numbers.
If I were you I'd give it a try, I don't think you will be disappointed.

Update: I returned my Mac Pro to apple after Autodesk support told me that while vanilla AutoCAD is supported on the parallels config, Map 3D is not. I could not open the plot dialogue box without the program locking up solid. I will take a look at BricsCAD when my Adesk renewal comes up tihs winter.

Hello Matthias,
I am not sure I understand what you mean by a project for a Mac version.

As I write this, we are working on the Mac OSX version for Bricscad V12. So the project is very alive.
