slop area
I, m new in the forum,
I´m land surveyor and I need to determinate the slop area of the leaning wall concrete. not the flat area.
Does anyone know how?
I have my 3d model made.
thanks

Hi Alfonso,
I am not sure how you have created your DWG, but if the wall boundaries are defined as a closed polyline, you just just run the AREA command and determine its area using the Entity option of the AREA command. Even if you have rotated the polyline to align with the plane of the wall, the area will still give you the sloping or surface area, so this should be what you are looking for.

Thanks a lot rakesh rao,
You are right, I made a closed polyline. It means that if the polyline is a 3d poly the area given is the surface a need. My confusion was I thought that program give the plane area.

Ok, guys, I just made a closed 3dpoly in my slop wall and ask for the area and this is the response: 3D Polyline vertices had differing Z coordinates.
Perimeter = 68.589. Can someone help me?0 -
Alfonso,
a 3d (non-planar) Polyline has no area by definition. You will have to align the UCS to the plane of your wall and draw a 2d-polyline around the area you want to measure. Note that, to my knowledge, it is currently not possible to measure the area of curved surfaces in Bricscad.

You can convert 3D polyline to 2D using FLATTEN command and to check area after.
