RefEdit fails with error msg

I get this error message when trying to edit an xref:  "REFEDIT failed. Reason: Entity is excluded from long transaction"

Can anyone shed any light on this (what it means, why I get the message, how to fix)?

    Works ok on my machine, you might try running an audit to see if your drawing has something weird in it.  else, send in a support request along with your drawing.
