AI_MOLC isn't working anymore

Today I found out that the AI_MOLC command isn't working anymore in Bricscad V12.1.7 (German version).
It used to work in Bricscad V11.

I'll inform the support, but I post it also here for the workaround, that helped me and that might help others with the same issue as well.
Just use
       (C:AI_MOLC)
instead of AI_MOLC.

  • Hm. I'm not sure if do same what you, but if enter AI_MOLC on command line, it work.

    Direct enter work.

And also I have defined it in default.pgp as:

    ;  -- User Defined Command Aliases --
    CT,        *AI_MOLC
  • Maybe it's an issue only with the German version... I don't have another one to test things like this.

I usually also work with aliases and my line in default.pgp used to look like this:
    A,        *AI_MOLC

But today I had to change it to,
    A,        *(C:AI_MOLC)
because the previous version didn't work anymore, neither with the alias nor with direct input of AI_MOLC.

Nevertheless, thanks for your input, Juraj Matel.
  • Hm... But strange things happend...

    Try use SETLAYER, it's LAYMCUR and it's AI_MOLC... ;)

But, the strange thing is. If I use at first AI_MOLC, it's work. But, now the strange, if enter SETLAYER, it works, but if now enter AI_MOLC, it isn't work now...

    Send support request.
  • Ok, I've encountered a different behaviour, maybe it's connected to your observation. AI_MOLC works when I start Bricscad. As soon as I load any dwg or dwt-file (one of the standard ones from Bricsys), it doesn't work anymore.
Well, I'm curious, what the support will be able to tell about this issue.
  • I've got an anwer from the support, here are the shortened answers:

"[...] Thank you for the extra input, I couldn't reproduce the problem at first, but now I can.
I can reproduce it in the English version too, so it's not a translation problem. [...]"

"[...] Indeed, the command registration is broken - while (c:ai_molc) is still present.
We will investigate immediately and fix the issue.[...]"

Btw, Thank you, Juraj Matel, I think, I wouldn't have tested this a second time without your input here. Now the support team has something to reproduce the issue, which is the most important part in debugging at all ;)
  • @Tanja: "Now the support team has something to reproduce the issue, which is the most important part in debugging at all ;) "

How very right you are, thanks!
  • Dear Tanja,
we have fixed the issue now ... thanks for your help !
Will be included in one of coming Bricscad releases.

    Nice weekend to everyone !
  • Who is Tanja? And why you two are so decent too!? ;)
