iso.lin much smaller than default.lin?

I don't know if any of you have noticed this before but iso.lin (3.8kB) much smaller than default.lin (16.6kB). Even a lot of 'generic' linetypes, such as DASHED4 are missing from iso.lin. Why is that?

  • Hi Roy,

your right. looks like it has been this way for a while. V10 and V11 have extra linetype definitions in the default.lin. Weird thing is that the default has a number of extra ISO linetypes. Those of us that are using the Metric system are missing out! Maybe raise a support request to get some clarification.

My personal view is that default.lin is too much of a mixed bag. For instance why is "*COND,Steam Condensate" included? I don't have any problems with the small iso.lin, but, although some linetypes could be typical for 'imperial use' (MEASUREMENT=1) only, the great difference between iso.lin and default.lin doesn't make much sense.
