Ctrl - Shift - Middle button activates 3d sphere view rotate -- how to turn this off?

How can I disable the ctrl-shift-middle button function from turning on the 3d view sphere command?  I can't find it in Customize... but I suppose it is there somewhere.

Thanks.

  • I'll second that request.  I find it annoying and not working in 3D would love to disable it too.
Guess its not diffciult to overcome except the years of habitual use without it.
  • Hi John,

I don't think you can disable, but you can define Ctrl + Shift + Middle to something else, which may be of more use to you.

    To redefine your mouse buttons:
    • type CUI at the command prompt.
    • Select the Mouse Tab.
    • Expand the Mouse Button sequence you want to change, such as Shift-Ctrl-Click.
    • Select the Middle Button option (will currently be blank).
    • Right click and select Insert Button.
    • Customise to what you can, such as ^c^c for cancel.
    • Pick Ok when you are finished to return to the command line.
You should now find that your button sequence has been redefined. Attach a screen grab for reference.

  •  Thanks -- I never would have figured that out.  It is not very intuitive.. I got into that dialog box before, but would never have guessed that the middle line is the one you use to define the middle mouse button!
