Insert Special Characters

Is there any way you can insert special characters and symbols from Microsoft Word into a CAD Drawing except paste and copy? Sometimes in mechanical engineering special characters like alpha - Symbol (α) and others for technical documentation. The problem with Copy and paste from Word ist, that the Textstyle can crash and you just see symbols in commandline and you have to restart bricscad. Maybe in future it is planned to implement into text editor?

You can create a special text style for this kind of characters and set Symbol.ttf font. For example "a" is equal to "α" using this font.

not a direct answer to your query but the way I overcame similar problem.
I made my set of characters in my own font set and it includes things I use in my survey cad drafting.
I made some symbols into characters.
Its not that difficult but obviously needs the software to handle it.
