Osnap behaivour a little strange
in Other
Loving Briscad on trial, everything is working perfectly for me vs autocad, however i seem to be getting held up with the osnap behaviour. I usually have end/int/mid/cen when drafting, so i admit there's a few things for briscad to offer me when i'm hovering over selections, but it seems to keep offering me the wrong choice of target, i've attached a screenshot of a window in a stretch command, where the crosshairs are in grey, to the lower left of the window opening, yet the red osnap target is wanting to select the intersection of the inner window frame, even though there is an endpoint and an intersection closer to the crosshair location.
zooming in closer fixes the problem as it limits the choices under the aperture, but this extra work in getting the osnap function to perform is slowing me down.
Is there any way to improve the accuracy, or turn off an option where briscad is giving me what it thinks is the osnap i need?
Thank you in advance.

I don't know how the osnap feature prioritizes points. Maybe the entities that were drawn first, and their points, have a higher priority.
Two possible approaches:
1.
This is the obvious one. Reduce the size of your aperture.
2.
It is possible to cycle through the osnaps. There is a note on this in the Entity Snaps section of the Help:
Press the TAB key, without moving the mouse, to cycle through all possible entity snaps.
If the DYNMODE variable has a positive value (Dynamic Dimensions switched ON) entity snap cycling is not possible. Click the DYNMODE field in de Status Bar to toggle the display of dynamic dimensions.0 -
Thanks Roy -tried the options you mention and its still flaky - will just have to get used to it i suppose also discovered that i really miss real time panning in Briscad.0

Hi Steve, I set the alias P to RTPAN, is that what you mean? You can change default aliases with the CUI command.0

Steve,
If you are using a wheel mouse you should be able to hold the wheel down to do a real time pan. If this isn't working look at the following settings:- In Bricscad make sure MBUTTONPAN is ON.
- In Windows control panel check what your mouse driver has set your wheel to do. To enable panning you need to set the wheel button to "Middle Button", see attached screen grab.

Thanks Greg & Jason - i never realised the command was there and working fine, as i had mbuttonpan set correctly and was happily real time panning around in modelspace. I just used the P shortcut when nudging views around in PS viewports. CUI now updated to suit me and my old fashioned ways of typing every command! All fixed now, and getting to love briscad. just need to learn to love the osnap niggles Grrrr! LOL0
