EATTEXT is a different command than ATTEXT. EATTEXT, or Data Extraction Wizard provides a mechanism to export information on multiple types of objects i.e. it works with more than just blocks and attributes. It also provides the option of processing multiple drawings. EATTEXT is rather convoluted to use, you are confronted with 8 pages to complete before it will do anything. I suspect many would give up before getting that far (I certainly did).
If you need more than what ATTEXT can provide I would suggest:- Taking a look at the application section to see if there is a 3rd party app available.
- look for some LISP routines. There are plenty around for extracting info off a drawing.
- Post some more info and example back to this forum. If it is something that is relatively straight forward I'm sure we can help you out.

There is no EATTEXT , but the output of ATTEXT can be imported in excel.0

Hi Kotesh,
Since you are already using GeoTools, don't forget that that you already have another powerful attribute extraction routine in GeoTools.
The command is GT_ATTEXT and this the URL to know more about what it does:

HI rakesh,
i tried geotools command GT_ATTEXT , but it is not able to give the output in excel format? second thing is it is not selecting all the blocks at once? i want it to be more user friendly like in autocad and generate the output in excel format.

Hi Kotesh,
You have not investigated the GT_ATTEXT command fully. You CAN select multiple blocks and also select MULTIPLE (any combination of selected attributes) and produce the output in a comma delimited text file which can be opened easily in both Open Office and Excel.

In fact, the GT_ATTEXT command is one of the heavily used command in GeoTools.
Let me know if you have any questions and I will be glad to assist.

GeoTools/CADPower V12 will not work on BricsCAD V13.
Please contact me by email or phone.
You will need GeoTools V 13.10 or later for BricsCAD V13.
