dimensions for 3d solids

I  want to insert dimensions for example for a 3d solid cube (in modelspace) to view them later in paperspace. Dimensioning in the xy-plane works (length and width) , but trying to dimension the heigth of the cube in xz-plane or yz-plane I always get a strange dimension with the value 0.0.

I tried it in Bricscad V11 and Bricscad V12.

Can someone tell me how I could do this, or is this not possible ?

Thank you.

  • Try using the FACE option of the UCS command.
  • Thank you Roy. Your solution works.

Another question: I found that I can produce 3d constraints with the command dmDistance3d (I think this is a new command in Bricscad V12). Now my question: is it possible to change the setting of an already produced 3d constraint  with a command in the command bar ? I only found the possibilty in the visual 3D constraint bar.
