Table style with top border only on header does not work

If this is a bug, I can send in a support request.  But perhaps I'm doing something wrong:

I want to create a table where the "header" cell type as defined in the table style dialog box has a line on the top of the cell only.  There is an icon for this option in the table style dialog box (in the "cell frame" category).  But when I click on this icon, the table looks just the same as if I click on the icon for an underline in the cell -- no difference in the preview or in the actual table.

Am I doing something wrong, or is this a bug?

Thanks.

  • Hi John,

Yep looks like you might have found a glitch .. I'd file a support request

  • You are probably not doing anything wrong. There are definitely some bugs when it comes to setting cell frames. If your tables have a title you can try setting the bottom line of the "Title" cell type instead.
  • I was checking Acad010 and it has similar behavior, you can't even change the horizontal  header grid lines, even though they're options for it. I bet it's the draw order of the grid lines..  there are some subtle differences, but you should be able to create what you need by changing the title

    Cheers
