Printing Problem

I've had a problem with intellicad 2000 locking up and not responding when trying to plot larger drawings. I receive drawings from other contractors and am asked to put our information on a layer. By the time the drawinggoes from one contractor to another the file can easily be in excess of 10meg.Intellicad goes through the motions as thou it were going to print, and then just appears to go to sleep. The onlyway to get out is to Ctrl-Alt-Delete. The window shows that Intellicad is not responding or is waiting for an input.

  • Have you tried changing the printer/plotter properties to process in the computer. If you select printer properties (or print setup) choose the advanced tab and select to process in computer. This is just slightly slower, but allows the computer to do most of the work. You may have to manually adjust for "final" or "draft" plot on the plotter/printer. --Good luck.
