Bricscad won't load past the splash screen after updating Windows 7
I have a new laptop I need to run Bricscad on. (Sony VIAO) Bricscad runs fine on my desktop machine, which is up to date. It ran fine on my laptop a few days ago, until I updated Windows, then it started freezing on the splash screen and never loading up. The only solution I could find was to do a system restore on my laptop to the previous windows version, and Bricscad ran fine. I ran the windows auto update again tonight and it started freezing on the splash screen again, so that appears to be the source of the problem.
When I go to system restore, it tells me that the update that's causing Bricscad to freeze has the following items in it, which I suspect may be causing the problem:
Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable - x64 9.0.30729.61619.0.30729.6161
Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable - x86 9.0.30729.61619.0.30729.6161
I know I'm on Bricscad Pro version 11, but I can't tell any more than that, because I can't get it to load.
Suggestions?
