Isolate Layer

Hi everyone,

I want to select area when I use the isolate Layer. Can I do it?

    As far as I know, when you have the LAYISO command activated, then you can only click single entities in your drawing, but this is possible multiple times. If you want to have changed that and get the possibility to select objects with window/crossing window selection, you could try to do a support request.

    But there's currently also a workaround, as long as your PICKFIRST system variable is ON. You can select the elements with the proper layers first and start your LAYISO command afterwards, which will then use the already selected elements as its selection set.

    Hi Serhat, I would recommend to use the Bcad-Tools (Freeware form Thorsten Moses). Here you have the Layertools (my most favorite CAD-Tool). http://www.bricsys.de/common/applications/application.jsp?app=335&apploc=526 Here you can set the option “Not-selected” and press the freeze button. After that you can select an area. All other layers you didn’t select will be frozen. Mustafa Kocatürk below software GmbH
