dxf* file problem

i receive a dxf* drawing from customer but come open it. Anyone know how to open using Bricscad?

I can't open or Recover it either. I think it's only R14, so it's not too new, but it has mlines - not sure if that's chronologically correct.

If you open the file with a text editor you will see is starts:A dxf file would look like: 0SECTION 2HEADER 9$ACADVER 1AC1014....This is not an Autocad/Bricscad dxf file.

Looks like the forum treats the html header as html code.  You'll need to actually open the file in a text editor.

It reads in ASCII in my Opera, first lines are exactly as Martin's.

There is an image contained in the file, I tried taking it out but didn't help.

I opened the file in AutoCAD. The write line number where the error is located.
