Export PDF at 1:1
Is it possible to Export to PDF at exactly 100% of the original size?
I have set everything up so it should export correctly, but when I open the PDF it has created a border beyond my zoom extents and used this as my zoom extents size, therefore reducing the vectors within so my extents fit within this size.
I am using the Export to PDF as opposed to printing to PDF as I need the layers and all my arcs and circles as arcs and circles.
The reason I need this 100% of the original size is Artwork will be positioned to this file so it needs to be correct. The drawing will then be forwarded to a tool maker who will then import this into a CAD system that runs a Laser, hence the layers and arcs and circles needing to be arcs and circles.
Please don't advise me to export as a DWG or DXF as they won't be able to be opened by some of the Graphics software and if they do I can't guarantee they will import at the correct size or retain the layers, arcs etc.
If you need a screen grab of my settings or the original dwg & created pdf please let me know.
Many Thanks in advance,
David Waight

You need to do two things:
1.
Set the correct scale in the page setup.
Right-click on the Model/Layout tab > Page Setup... > Double-click on the icon in front of the tab's page setup name.
2.
Uncheck the PDF zoom to extents mode.

Roy,
Once again, you have come to my rescue!
Thanks very much, I would never have worked that out by myself.
Appreciate all the help you are giving me.

David, I don't know if there is a loss of accuracy when you export to PDF. Since you are working in the field of packaging it is worth checking this.0

Roy,
After using your excellent instructions I exported a PDF, opened it up in two different PDF editors and attached them back into Bricscad.
I also converted the PDF into a DXF file using Inkscape (the one on the right) and imported it back into Bricscad.
As you can see the results are pretty good, so I can definitely use this method for creating my PDF's.
Once again thanks for the information and the concern over the sizing.
Kind Regards,

Do you guys know why PDF drivers on Bricscad do not let you save pdf formats on custem paper size, the only output is pc3.0

@ David:
Your message is unclear. What divers are you referring to? And do you perhaps mean A3 instead of pc3?0 -
Oops: I meant @ Gary...0
