Modelling in Blender

Blender has been mentioned on the list before. Some members use it as part of their work flow.

This link shows some of its capabilities.

  • Thanks for that wonderful Link !

  • An oldy but very nicely done. Fortunately, Bricscad does have some tools to make this quicker, but I love how well described that article is and it goes to show how really important it is to be able to 3D visualize a building, with just the minimum of clues.

An eye opener/introduction to a mystery area, for me - incl the preceding tutorial "A (first) introduction to architecture modeling with Blender" http://yorik.uncreated.net/tutorials/architecture-blender.html

  • Its the Basics of Architectural Modeling in any 3D App.
I think Blender was already quite capable in 2008.
But that's 10 years ago and Blender looks now much different :)

For me Blender is a mixture between my Modo and C4D.
While Modo is much better to work with but CAD has some important
features for Architectural Modeling and Visualization.
So far not sure if Blender mixed more of the advantages or disadvantages
    of both.
The Tutorials show some interesting Features or Workflows though.
    Even at that early state.

Blender 2.8, when arriving, will be great for me.
