Customize location of BAK files?

According to the Knowledge Base "... BAK file is created in the folder of the DWG file which is being edited."

I like to keep my BAK files in an archive directory so that my main folder doesn't get cluttered with 1 BAK file for each DWG file. Is there any way to change the BAK directory location?

    I too, would like to see an equivalent of AutoCAD's "MOVEBAK" routine.

    There is one included in Express Tools (available from Solutions Store) but I could not get it to function.
