The BricsCAD Lisp Developer Package

Hello Folks,

A long conversation between Torsten Moses, Jason Bourhill and me has been documented as a blog post.

I hope BricsCAD and Lisp guys will find this an interesting read.

  •  Hello Rakesh, and Jason and Torsten,
I think I can speak for the BricsCAD guys: we appreciate so much your contributions in the support of LISP in BricsCAD. It's just brilliant
Keep up the good work and best regards,    erik

  • Thank you, Erik, and all of Bricsys.

Jason and I hope to write more in the future, about the individual modules and features covered in my long post. This post is just a summary.

I am sure Torsten will keep us bloggers busy with new stuff that he is going to churn out !!

    Best Regards

  • Thanks Rakesh,

As a "Lisp guy" that was indeed a fascinating read!

It is really exciting what Torsten and Bricsys are doing on this front and I look forward to taking full advantage.
  • I too have done a lot of programming in LISP, it is my go to for something tedious that needs to be created over and over; with LISP I find it simple to build a robust application quickly.  That was indeed a very interesting read, specifically the amount of 'extra' work that was needed to get everything to function on the Linux version.
