Drag & Drop?
Is dragging and dropping of drawings and standard details into existing drawings not possible? If not, why, and will this functionality be added in the near future?
Thanks!

Hi Jeff,Dragging and dropping of Standard details / Symbols is possible from the Drawing Explorer (Ctrl + 2). You can insert blocks defined in any currently open drawing, or by selecting the Folder tab you can browse other drawings. If they are symbols you frequently use, then you can add them to a Tool palette for easy access. You may find the following links related to using Drawing Explorer useful.0

You can drag-and-drop blocks in two ways:
1.
Blocks can be dragged-and-dropped between open drawings using the BricsCAD Drawing Explorer.
2.
A drawing can be inserted by drag-and-dropping it from the Windows Explorer onto an open drawing. The DRAGOPEN setting should be set to OFF for this behavior.
Another approach is to create a 'library' drawing with all your standard blocks and then populate a tool palette with those blocks. They can then be inserted in any drawing even if the library drawing is not open. Another benefit of tool palettes is that you can customize the insert behavior.0 -

Thanks guys!!This is exactly what I needed to know! I think I'll probably use DRAGOPEN and Windows explorer. That's the way I work with Autocrud now.Best,Jeff0
