Screen does not update until there is a redraw
Hi
As I draw the screen does not always update with my last entity until there is a redraw or regen. Say for instance I draw a line or maybe offset a circle. I will perform the command and the entity will be in the drawing but I cannot see it until I zoom or pan or regenerate the drawing. I am running bricsys 13.1.12
Have a great day.

I get that occasionally. I'm guessing it's a tradeoff for most zooms or regens being virtually instant, even in quite large files.0

Hi Doug,I've experienced this intermittently too. I've previously raised a support request, but its not an issue that you can simply repeat. For me it seems to happen after having BricsCAD open for an extended period, doesn't seem to be related to the complexity of the drawing. Closing and re-starting BricsCAD seems to resolve the issue.Suggest you try a video capture of your screen when this is happening, and raise a support request. Would be nice to get it resolved.0

I reported the problem while I was still evaluating the program for purchase. Support just told me to do a REGEN. It gets annoying. At times you have to REGEN after every object or line you create. If you drag or zoom out your view, Infinite lines don't always appear infinite without a REGEN.
Funny, but I never experienced any of these problems with Autocad LT. (Not that Autocad didn't have some bugs, too.) We own BricsCAD Platinum now, and I still see the problem from time to time, but I never complained again. Seems to me however, that this is something they should resolve before moving on to new features.
I tested a lot of different brands of Intellicad programs over the years, and found a lot of bugs common to all the vendors. The Consortium admitted to me me once in a letter that the core code for the project had issues. Unfortunately, all the vendors were too busy offering the latest whiz bang feature, to address the bugs in the core. I figured that when Bricsys dropped out of the Consortium to come up with their own code, that the annoying bugs would go away. Apparently not.0 -
I have the same problem and find it annoying as well. I have gone so far as to set REGEN to my F4 key for quick regens. I hardly consider this an acceptable work-around.This lack of proper refresh has kept me from switching all the engineers in the company from Autocad to Bricscad.Jeff0
