Frequent crashes in 13.2.4

Anyone here using 13.2.4?  Ever since I upgraded yesterday, I have been beset by crashes every few minutes.  Learning to do 3D, and also using the QuickDraw feature to generate my othogonal (2D) views.    Lots of hidden lines in the drawings.  The program freezes and finally gives me an error message.   Never had this kind of grief from an Autodesk product.    I hope Bricsys gets this nailed down quickly.  Giving me fits having to save after every single operation.

  • I am getting many crashes with both 13.2.2 and 13.2.4 (32 bit).  Only a couple have happened while working, though - the majority happen while trying to open files which have been modified and saved 2013 format in 13.2.x.  The pattern seems to be: when opening a file which contains 3D solids, BricsCAD crashes.  If "Use Preview" is on, it crashes as soon as I click on a file name; otherwise, it crashes when I click "Open".

Now I have a few files that I can't open in V13 because of crashes or in anything else because they're in 2013 format.  I'm traveling now but, when I get home, I have a 64 bit version that might work (I hope).

I haven't filed a support request yet because I haven't ruled out some other causes.  I have this installed on an older Vista laptop that could be part of the problem.

  • Thanks James.  Sorry I took so long to respond.   I lost track of my posting.   I'm using V13.2.10, and 14.2.10, and I think both still have problems with the 2013 format.    I'd file another support request, but I am finding it hard to re-produce the problem.
