Bricscad too slow on linux
On WinXP running in Virtualbox on linux host Bricscad-13 works faster than native version on that linux host. Loading, zooming, moving - all works faster.
Why ?!!!

Chances are that you have hardware acceleration on WinXP+VirtualBox, but not in your linux host.
Hardware acceleration often requires a proprietary closed source driver, which most linux distributions do not install by default.
Here are some useful pointers for troubleshooting:
on Ubuntu:

on Fedora:

on OpenSuse:

Ok. I've installed proprietary driver. Things are still the same.
Are there any other ideas? Maybe I have to make changes in program options?

Iis hardware acceleration setting enabled?0

I agree, bricscad is quite slow on linux platform compare to on windows system. I have compared bricscad 11, 12,13. V11 is the fastest, 12,13 almost the same. I use Nvidia card, proprietary driver, test from ubuntu 10.10 to 12.04. Any idea to improve? Will the 64 bit version better?0
