Bricscad very slow when drawing but not when just viewing

 Hi all,
I am using Bricscad V13 with ArchLinux and I am having a very annoying problem. When I am seeing a dwg file everything behaves pretty smooth and fast, but when I want to draw a line (or anything) it becomes very slow. It is very difficult to work like this.
I have an Nvidia GeForce 9500, which is actually a set of two cards:
02:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation G98M [GeForce 9200M GS] (rev a1)
03:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation C79 [GeForce 9400M G] (rev b1)
I am using the latest proprietary drivers from Nvidia.

Any Idea?
Thanks

  • Did you try different settings for GLSWAPMODE?
Disabling DYNMODE might also give a smoother experience.
But when you work with very heavy drawings, object snapping and selection might indeed slow down more than zooming and panning.
  • Thanks Knut! Disabling DYNMODE really helps a lot... and I really don't use them so much, so it is ok. Still, I think this problem should be addressed by the development team, because is a very basic feature and should work correctly.
