quickdraw tips
in Other
I need some help with quickdraw. For some reason it keeps creating the drawings on a different plane than xy - which normally is what I work on. End up getting frustrated and go back to flatshot. Maybe I'm just getting confused with the whole UCS setup but seems that if you're in the current plane that should be the one the drawings are created for. Could just rotate the drawings so they're correct but that's a pain, there has to be a better way.

AFAIK, the QuickDraw entities are always drawn in the WCS X-Y plane. The setup dialog does have options to set the "front" axis used for the 2D views to be aligned to the current UCS or to the current view, in addition to the default (WCS).
I believe that this is done in order to facilitate using the resulting 2D views in paperspace viewports. It seems to me that it would be much harder to chase down and align the QuickDraw output with the "paper's" X-Y inside of a viewport if they were rotated away from WCS.
However, I could imagine an option to place the output into a saved, named view instead of WCS.0
