I am trying to figure out how to insert a nut from the new component library in V14 into my current model - I am running Platinum, have a 3D model created and have also initialized the mechanical structure.  I can see the Mechanical browser, but when I switch to the Library tab of the browser, the drop down list is empty...  I must be missing something...

I can confirm that it does work, at least here on Win7(64) Pro and with both the 32- and 64-bit releases of 14.1.02-1. Open Mechanical | Mechanical Browser and then the Library tab, as you have described. At that point, there's a combo box with AISC, AN, ... entries that each lead to an expandable outline view of "standard parts." (Aside: Does that imply that at some time we may be able to assign local "custom parts" to a heading?)

Did you import existing settings from V13 when you installed V14? Try starting with a clean/default user profile to see if that helps any.

 Thanks for the hint Richard, yes, when I first installed V14 it imported all of the V13 menus and settings - which caused some problems until I realized what had happened, maybe there is a setting hiding in V14 somewhere that was overwritten with V13 data when I transferred the settings.  Will explore further and post my findings...
