Inserted BMP and JPG not printing properly

I have inserted my professional seal as either a BMP or a JPG into my drawing.  It looks good in the drawing.  It looks good in the PDF.  It looks good when I print to my laser printer.  When I send to my HP T1200 plotter it is either a black block or a blurry mess.  I have updated my drivers and the plotter firmware.  This happens on Windows XP and Windows 7.

Any ideas on what is up?

Check if printer is set to monochrome plotting.

Check if you are using the HPGL or HPGL2 protocol. AFAIK they do not support images.

I always print in monochrome since my drawings are jsut black lines on white paper.  Switched to grey scale and it prints fine.
