Sheet Sets

I'm looking for some help on the 'philosophy' of Sheetsets. I can read the technical bit about the management, but cannot find out why I would want to use them!

  • I am new to Bricscad so haven't yet got to grips with the Bricsys version.
But, with Autocad, it was a way to group your layouts under a job name.
Therefore, if you were running a number of separate projects, each with their different dwg files, instead of opening every dwg file when someone wanted prints, you opened your sheet-set of layouts.
You could then click on the layouts needed regardless of which dwg file was being opened.
You could also reach the dwg file via the sheet-set if you wanted to and make any alterations you needed to.
You can change the layout titles or add revision letters - useful for our drawing issue sheet.
And, of course, you could batch print from within it too.
    Hope that helps.
