Viewport in MS

I need to be able view a portion of my model space layout withou having to move to it. is there a way to do that maybe with a viewport in a tool pallete?

 You can setup multiple viewports in model space, this will allow you to draw in one section and have another section of your model space zoomed into another area for reference.  To set this up, switch to model space; under the View menu; choose Viewports; you will then be asked for a couple options about the number of viewports to create, the ability to list and save and join the viewports.
