ANY EAGLE POINT USERS?

Anyone Using Bricsnet ICAD 2000, with Eagle Point Civil Software ?Anyone having knowledge, or past problem with the function"EplDwgP" having a fault when closing ICAD 2000 after usingEagle Point ? This fault is ONLY occuring on my Win. 2000stations, old NT no problems. The fault is occuring in the "ICAD.exe" at Instruction 039E78F3,and has the exception of an access violation.Only occuring when closing ICAD, and really just a visual bother.Since EP says no direct support for ICAD 2000, thought I wouldpost here so see if anyone has any comments.Still plan on hitting up EP for some info.Seems to be something within the Eagle Point function which followsthe CAD coordinates, and the ICAD 2000 is not liking it when closed. Thanks in advance.Geoff Tinker, PLSBlack Hawk Co., Ia.

  • I have been using EP for 5 or 6 years now. Every once in a while the EP causes some problems. The later versions are much better. As to your particular problem, I am using NT and have not experienced it. Sorry

  • Spoke with an Engineer at Eagle Point.A problem with the "SDI" command in Windows 2000.Run Bricsnet 2000 with your Eagle Point and invoke the"SDI" command to change the default from 0, to 1.Your changing the default Multiple Line Commandto "Single", and this will eliminate the closing faultin ICAD 2000 as I mentioned. This will keep you in a single drawing environment, and prompt to close your current, as you all know.EP's third party fly-outs can leave ya with alot of opendwg's, so not really a bad setting for this 3rd party applic.Just a little info to PASS on. ENJOY !!!

  • Our company has been using Eagle Point with Intellicad from the very beginning with 98. It worked fine with 2000 in the earlier versions of Eagle Point, but as the versions of Eagle Point increase the bug and problems that it causes with 2000 increases as well. We also called tech support and got the same reply that they (Eagle Point) do not support 2000.It would be nice if Bricsnet would get together with Eagle Point and develope a version that is fully compatable. If they did this I am sure that a lot more companys will switch to Intellicad. For all of those Roadcalc users of Eagle Point and 2000. When Eagle Point when to version 1.2.0 the plan and profiles will not cut properly and does not show the plan nor the profile xref views. But version 1.1.1 does. I have not been able to try it with version 1.3.0 just yet to see if it has been fixed. And just so you know, yes every now and again, but not on every drawing, 2000 does crash as it exits out of the drawing when using Eagle Point. As you said nothing major, but just a big pain and we are using NT.

  • Always use the view commands in EP to switch between drawings do not switch between drawings in ICAD. I have not had that problem since I started using this procedure. My problem has been when I import data from a data collection file it gets to a certain point and I get a Dr. Watson in icad.exe. I mess with the field code libary and the line libary on the objects where it seems to hang up and after awhile it comes in, never really knowing what I did to get it to come in, very frustrating.BTW, I think EP's graphic engine in thier stand alone is ICAD 2000, and if it is, they must be programming to use it. I wish they would offically support it as a graphic engine.
