Sheet Metal
Hi List,
i'm new to Bricsys but i'm a experianced SheetMetal Worker and playing around with SheetMetal drawing. So there are some questions:
a) How can i change the measurement(length or angle) of a flange. I can't find a way to change the flange in the PropertyWindow is there any other possiblity?
b) I try adding dimensions to my drawing inside the designview for SheetMetal parts, here only dimensions for the BaseSheet is possible? Where can i add dimensions for the flanges?
Thanks in advance

a) you can change the angle by using the quad cursor (select flange, hover cursor, select "rotate flange"). I am not sure about length except to use push/pull.
b) you can change the UCS to each face and add dimensions as wanted/needed.
This is not parametric in the sense that Solidworks is parametric (not much if any history based editing.)

Here is a screencast. (I hope...)

Add a distance constraint and an angle constraint.0

Hi Nick,
your post didn't have a link to follow. :-(
There are some introductory videos to sheet metal . Perhaps they are of help
Start from scratchStart from a solidStart from an imported model

Hi,
this is a very cool Webcast. Thanks a lot.
By the way, if there is time and pleasure. What's about a Webcast with an very easy Sheetmetall Part, but from start to end.
I can think of a box, lets say 200 x 200mm, each side 30 mm flange upwards , then 15 mm inwards. But, with full dimensions, including dimensions in the unfolded sheet.
I think a very easy part from start to end will be a big lhelp for all newbies.
Thanks
Peter
