  • There are two different types of fonts that BricsCAD can use.  The older kind, which predate the Windows operating system, are SHX fonts.  Sometimes called plotter fonts.  Each of those have a SHX extension, and can be loaded by the "load" command, or simply place the .SHX file in the font directory of BricsCAD.

The TTF fonts, are Window's native font file type.  If the TTF font is installed by any program, it then becomes available to any other program on the same computer, including BricsCAD.

What is this other program from which you want the font?
  • you can drag and drop the font from parent (other program) directory to the required one.
Or if a ttf font then right click and "Install" will put the font into the Windows/ Fonts directory.
