V15 - is it worth the upgrade?

Currently have V13 and was wondering if V15 is worth the jump or should I wait? My work mainly is in 2D with 3D sprinkled in every so often for the record. This is not my money that is at stake so just trying to be a good steward. Thanks ahead for any comments.

  • In general, the way I decide, is to look at any new features I like in the new version, and decide if they are worth the cost of upgrading.

Unfortunately, you can't really test the new features too much in depth in the 30 days you for the trial version.  And in my case, upgrading to v14 Platinum really didn't help me much, and I now think it was not a good choice. So, to some extent, you have to take your chances.

  • I think so.  Whether the new features help or not may depend on what type of work you do, but there have been many, many bug fixes and general improvements.  We use the same menus, toolbars, and lisp routines in V15 that we did in V13 with no problems.  We are updating some of the lisp to use vle- commands, but the older versions run fine in both.  I think going to V15 was well worth the upgrade price for us.
  •  V15 is definitely worth the upgrade in my opinion. It includes many bug fixes and enhancements that have proven to be very beneficial.
  • V15 (pro) was not a big jump from V14 for me, but V13 had some minor annoying bugs which were definitely worth upgrading from.
