Midpoint display upon selection of object

I'm new to BricsCAD (but not to AutoCAD) and there are some things to get used to...
One difference in BricsCAD, is that when I select an object (e.g. line, polyline), the midpoint locations are marked exactly the same way (colour and shape) as endpoint vertices. Is there a way to suppress midpoint locations being highlighted upon object selection? If I want to see the midpoint, its usually to snap to it - at which time I'll turn on Osnap for midpoint locations.
