15.2.05 Offset
can someone tell me how to make the Offset command work as it did in the previous version. I do a lot of offsetting in 2d and do not need or want the option to offset a boundary. my selectionmode is set to zero, but it seems it dosent matter what it's set to it still detects the boundary.

SELECTIONPREVIEW ? or other preview related system variables ?0

yes that does change it, however it changes it for all commands not just the offset.0

Hi Rob,I'm pretty sure this is a bug. I filed a support request during the beta testing but it was closed with no further comment (I guess the analyst didn't understand what I was asking). Anyway, I am still having the same problem and reopened the request a couple of days ago. Hopefully it gets looked at more seriously now at least one other person is affected:) As you stated, it is the SELECTIONMODE variable which should cover this, but it doesn't.0

Hi Daniel,
I looked it up. The SR is not closed, it's still with development. As far as I can see it's a bug and should be fixed.0 -
Hi Damien, it was closed but I asked them to reopen it0

Has anyone heard any updates on this? Just upgraded to V15 and find the offset preview annoying and distracting. I can see maybe the benefit when doing 3D but for 2D maybe there should be an option to shut it off for that command only.

It took me a little time to get used to, but recently Bcad had developed a habit of sometimes offsetting to the wrong side and that really is a pain.0

I've got this being looked at under SR 62203 - Torsten has assured me that the devlopers are looking into the fix for the next update. I've also been advised during the support ticket that Offset ignores selectionmode - not sure if this is a bug too, but i too find offset a bit of a pain !0
