Arcs are drawn with "continuous" linetype -- a feature or a bug?

I'm using version 15.3.03 (the latest, I think).

I have a layer with linetype defined as DASHED. So when I draw a line or pline (or a circle or other shape) on that layer it shows as dashed (because the new entity is created with a BYLAYER linetype). But when I draw an arc, the linetype is set to CONTINUOUS and I have to change it manually to BYLAYER and then it shows as dashed.

Is this a bug or a feature? Is there some setting I am missing here?

This happens for me too. Seems to me that it's a bug. If you haven't already done so I suggest you raise a support request to get it fixed.
