priting to Adobe / papersize

Hi I am trying to print a layout to scale to a pdf - adobe. Paper size I want is 36x48 (ARCH E). when I choose the printer / plotter configuration as 'Adobe PDF' I do not see the required paper size. Any help in this matter is appreciated.

 You may try to find appropriate page size in plotter configuration editor. This page size is available on my computer.

Then you could try to add this paper size as described here:

 I just tried that link, in hopes it would tell me how to get rid of most of the paper sizes.  But, when I attempted to follow the instructions, my screens were quite different, even though I have Windows 7.  I think the options shown in the printing preferences are specific to each printer driver, and is created by the manufacturer of the printer. So, your printer manufacturer may, or may not, have permitted the addition of custom paper sizes.
