importing hatch pattern under user defined

guys any idea on how to put my hatch pattern under user defined? I was able to import some hatch pattern but they keep on showing up under predefined any ideas on how ive been doing wrong? comments and suggestions are highly appreciated. thnx

This is a case of misinterpretation.
User defined: Pattern not based on a .pat definition but on user parameters only.
Predefined: All patterns stored in the main .pat file (iso.pat or default.pat).
Custom: Patterns stored in separate .pat files (one pattern per file).

If you want your own patterns to be in a distinct category you have to store them in separate files so that they appear in the Custom section. Patterns added to iso.pat or default.pat are considered predefined.

 You can save the *.pat files in a folder of your choice and add this folder to the 'Support Path  Search Path'  (= SRCHPATH system variable).

Notice that the name of the *.pat file must be identical to the pattername in the pattern definition.
