V16 Slice problem with BKS

I have updated to V16 and encounter a problem with slicing:
The slice plane lies always vertical to the view vector - I cannot change it.
I tried to manually set BKS to WKS - did not help.
Is there any klick within the options dialogue?

I do not have this problem with my V15 - luckily I have kept on my PC.

  • Interesting. I don't experience that anomaly; the behavior here is normal.

Do you get these prompts (appropriately localized)?
    Select entities:
    Entities in set: 1
    Select entities:
Specify first point on slicing plane or [Object/Surface/Zaxis/View/XY/YZ/ZX/Line-point/3points] <3points>:
  •   Dear Richard.

    Thank you for your help.
Here a description step by step of my problem:
    1. Create rectangle
    2. Extrude vertical
    3. Command "Slice" and pick cube (1 object in  set)
    4. Select plane "xy"
    5. Select "Midpoint" of vertical side
    6. right klick = "Both"

Result is a slice within the plane vertical to my viewpoint vector
When I rotate the view, the slicing plane stays within the viewpoint vector (although I chose "XY" as slicing plane!!)
    6a. Result with rotated view

I think there must be a klick to be set in the options dialogue, but I do not find any.

    Best regards
    Christoph

  • Have exatly the same problem.
__slice command ignore any BKS inputs
and is unusable since Update to Bricscad 16 !
  • I think this is a problem that only occurs in the German version. Selecting 'XY' somehow results in selecting 'Ansicht' (View). Maybe using "_XY" instead of "XY" works.
  •  It seems as this is the solution:

_xy for the slicing plan worked as required
xy delivers a slicing plane vertical to the viewpoint vector

A translation problem within the german version!

  • Thank you for conforming this.
