 The text in my drawing are frayed! has this something to do with setting in my computer (mac) or in bricscad?

    I would check the value of the variable ANTIALIASSCREEN.
    Type ANTIALIASSCREEN on the command line (or use the Settings dialog and browse(=search) for "antialiasscreen")

    (FYI: I extracted following (relevant?) description from the  help project:
    The ANTIALIASSCREEN system variable controls the amount of anti-aliasing (edge smoothing) applied during on-screen rendered mode display. The default value is 1, maximum value is 5. Note: high anti-alias values incur a high calculation cost.)
