Bricscad on 4K Screen

Morning all,

We've recently purchased a new laptop in our engineering department, and have been trialling Bricscad as a 3D alternative to AutoCad due to the performance differences. The new laptop comes with a 4K screen along with a M4000 Quadro card, so should handle all the 3D we throw at it, however the 4K screen seems to be causing issues. In Bricscad the icons/ribbons/toolbars appear absolutely tiny. I've looked online to all the various settings within Windows that you can change to try help, but nothing has seemed to work yet.

I'm quite new to Bricscad, so just wanted to see if anyone has had this issue and if there is any internal setting within Bricscad that could help sort this issue?

Thank you very much,
Rory

  • Setting the toolbar icons to large and scaling Windows fonts (not desirable) are the only things I know.
We experimented with 4K monitors. Most of our users did not like them at all for AutoCAD or BricsCAD. A resolution of 2560x1440 has become the preferred option.
  •  Thanks Donald, good to know its not just our laptop.
