_ViewBase and annotations?

edited February 2017 in 3D Modeling
When using the _ViewBase command to create views what is the best approach for annotations? You probably have to add these in paper space. But how do you keep them aligned if the views are automatically updated when your model becomes bigger or smaller? Note that associative dimensions are not possible for _ViewBase views as these in fact display anonymous blocks.
What is the best practice here?

  • Regarding associative dimensions:
When you dimension _ViewBase views you have to make sure that DIMASSOC is 2. This will ensure that the paper space dimensions receive the proper DIMLFAC override for the scale of the views. So when first created these dimensions are associative. But any change to the model will render them non-associative.

Origami is the Japanese word for paper folding. ORI means to fold and KAMI means paper and involves the creation of paper forms usually entirely by folding.
