Why does Xref file convert to a block

 I am trying to insert an xref file into paperspace of multiple layout tabs

I run XREF, I attach the block, no issue first insertion

and the file appears on the Xref List

when I highlight that file (in Explorer/Xref) and select INSERT XREF

it becomes a block, and it disappears from the Xref List

(sure, it has become a block somehow)

But now there is no xref left to insert.

Am I doing something wrong?

 Nevermind.  ;-)

I read the manual (yes, I got THAT desperate)

"Insert Xref = Converts xrefs into blocks

I needed to execute ATTACH XREF multiple times.

Silly me, sorry.

 Even reading the manual confused me in my v14. I had to figure it out by trial an error.
