Using drawing properties to populate BOM?
I think, at least part, of this concept has been discussed before. But, I can't find that specific thread, so perhaps my memory of it is flawed. Here is the closest thread I found;

My goal is to make my part library more useful by filling in the various fields that I would want in my BOM. This would include,
Part Description
Source
Part#
Price
I have created the fields in the Drawing Properties. But, even though there is a "description" field there, any description in the part's drawing properties do not appear in the Explorer's list of blocks.
I suppose attributes are another approach. Is that the only way to do it?
